Wright Brothers Award

The Wright Brothers Award is awarded for successfully completing Phase I of the CAP Cadet Program. It marks the transition from a cadet airman to non-commissioned officer (NCO) status in the cadet program, and accompanies the promotion to the grade of Cadet Staff Sergeant.

Requirements

The award requires passing a comprehensive test on chapters 1-3 of the L2K book. In addition, there is a physical fitness test and a drill evaluation.

Other Info

  • Prior to the creation of the Mary Feik Achievement in April 2003, the Wright Brothers Award was the third achievement and accompanied the promotion to the grade of C/SrA.
  • Must have at least eight months of active membership in CAP.
