General Information

Cadet Aerospace Education Officer is a cadet staff position that is rarely used. It is generally assigned to cadets holding the grade of C/2d Lt, C/1st Lt, C/Capt, C/Maj and C/Lt Col. The cadet aerospace education officer usually reports directly to the cadet commander but may also report to a cadet executive officer if one is used.

The cadet aerospace officer instructs cadets in aerospace topics and leads or supervises aerospace activities. The position is usually not needed, except in the largest or most top-heavy squadrons. Because the duties are similar to those of a flight commander, commanders should carefully divide the labor of the two positions to avoid overlap.

Position at different command levels

Cadet Aerospace Education Officers are generally only used at the squadron level and left out completly at encampment and NCSA's.
