09/15/10- This project hasn't been abandoned, I promise. I am still keeping an eye on the page, and have appointed a moderator to help out. This project only works with YOUR participation, so if you've been waiting to see if the page still had a pulse, wait no longer. We're here, and we hope you'll contribute your knowledge to the site!
CAPWiki is the unofficial Civil Air Patrol wiki. The purpose of this site is to create a resource for CAP members to collect and share information about the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Any current or former members of CAP are welcome from any part of the country (or outside of it, for our overseas squadrons). With time, we hope to build a massive database of information that cadets and senior members alike can reference for questions, updates, and anything else that they may need. In addition, we have a forum section available to all members of CAPWiki.
CAPWiki is intended to be a professional resource. To that end, all articles are expected to be factual and informative, and in the case of people and controversial issues, to present a neutral point of view. In addition, CAPWiki welcomes other more unorthodox types of articles such as class outlines, after-action reports, squadron pages, and activity memoirs.
If you are looking for a good place to start, go to the bottom of the page and click "site tools", and then click "wanted pages." If a page contains a link to another page that hasn't been created, then it will show up here. If you'd like instead to make CAPWiki more accessible, click the "orphaned pages" link, which will display all pages that have no other pages linking to them.
Although CAPWiki is a resource for CAP members, we are not endorsed by or affiliated with Civil Air Patrol or the United States Air Force. CAPWiki is staffed by volunteers, and the content is written by members of the site. Although our community is expected to keep articles as clear and accurate as possible, the nature of a wiki means that information here cannot always be considered completely accurate, and is not a substitute for official CAP and USAF publications.
